Ok, I got my package from the_dez!  Here we have some very cute bottlecap jewelry-- I don't know how well my camera worked, so they're earrings and a necklace made from bottlecaps with little instructions for using chopsticks on the inside.

Next is a cardigan featuring one of my favorite bands, The Pipettes.

The front:

This is on one sleeve

And the back!

Here's a detail shot of the pin that I used to wrap the cardigan-- it's made from a found pog!  Pogs were so fun... Smiley

Two pins, one of which is another pog pin, and the other is made of found notes and lists in a bottlecap.  They were in this super-cute Hello Kitty Christmas tin.

This journal is made from really cool postcards:

Here's the spine

And the back

And the cute name page!

And lastly, the_dez wrote me a note  on paper that was too fun not to share--

The pog pins are made of found pogs, the bottlecaps were found, the smurf patch on the cardigan was found, and the notes in the bottlecap pin were found.  Thanks the_dez!!!

Okay everybody, behold all the FOUND goodies I got!

A beautiful vintage apron that was found at a yard sale and hand stenciled.  I cook all the time and love aprons!  This one might be too pretty to get dirty though.

A paper mache bowl crafted out of old dictionary pages from one that was found in a parking lot. So creative and unique!

Stitchmarkers and a necklace made using found letters that were printed on shrinky dinks and then colored in with sharpies.  These are too cool for words!  I love stitch markers and am starting a collection to which these are the perfect edition.  Also, I can't wait to show off my new necklace.

I also got some rad vintage circular needles in their original paper package along with some really nice yarnall found in a "thrifty" way.

Everybody remember the creepy 'Eyes Wide Shut'/Vestal Virgin beehive hairdo photo and the ultra complementary love letter about Dug?  Well, they made their way into a bookmark.  I really needed a bookmark to, currently I'm using the doggy ear method of marking my place and I think the library might frown upon this practice...

Scatter stenciled this patch on a piece of the scarf she found embedded in the snowbank.  If I get time this weekend I'm going to stitch it to my knitting bag.

And last but not least, a stenciled card with a note!

I truly LOVED everything and am highly impressed with the creative efforts of my partner (and everyone else for that matter) in crafting found objects for this swap!

I recieved today from Ms Marple, Everything was so beautiful and well made.

So, here we go:

An awesome box decorated with a found swedish newspaper and inspired by the label she found.

A beautiful crotcheted birdsnest basket from a pattern found in a thrift store.

Another view of the birdsnest decoration and butterfly.

A beautiful watch found in a drawer at Ms Marples decorated with found broken jewelry.

Bottlecap magnets decorated with cross stitch

Marble and seed pod magnet and seedpod pins decorated to look like beetles (supercute)

Shell patches, I think I'm going to put these on a bag.

Two tassels, one with beads and wire, another with sea finds

Handmade beads from found pieces.

Found glass pieces from outside a glass factory in Sweden. (one I'm keeping for decoration, the other blue piece is becoming jewellery).

I love that alot of these pieces are inspiring me to think and keep working with them so that they will keep transforming and being used. I think this really embodies the purpose of this swap. thanks gain Ms Marple!

I should say as well, I'm glad you liked it Ralph!

The basket has a nice story behind it - I found the pattern in a cutting from a magazine in a second hand book about crochet. When I made the basket my mum became quite nostalgic. It turns out that her grandmother (who must have been born before 1900) used to make those baskets in white yarn and then put glasses with cut flowers in them. So I thought that was a nice and unexpected find that taught me something new about my family's history too!

I've just received an awsome package from Ralph - thank you so much!!! I absolutely LOVE everything!!!

A handmade journal - the cover is from a children's drawing:

One of the pages, a letter bound within the book (there are more lovely touches like this in the book):

A lovely bracelet with found charms, the weirdest thing is how the fake ring on it looks really similar to my engagement ring!! I've included my ring in the picture so you can see, I really think that is strange  Shocked

Bottle cap earrings - unfortunately these didn't photo well no matter how I tried. They have a note written with 'found' in one and 'lost' in the other hidden under the beads, I love that!

A brilliant DADA style shrine to found and lost things, made out of a casette case, front:

back:

And finally this is my favourite of all those lovely things, an absolutely delicious handkerchief book:

And a page from it, there are three of them, all so ethereal and lovely:

I really really treasure these things. Thanks for being such an inspiring partner!!

This has been a great swap!! Challenging, frustrating (when I couldn't find anything) but really FUN. Thanks to Scatter Kincaid for organising this, I think the gallery speaks for itself as how this has been a great creative approach to crafting!

I'm really glad you like everything Ms Marple. That's really awesome about the ring.

Here is a better image of the earrings:

And, just because I can, and I like the monkey ninja, here is the inside of the shrine:

As Ms Marple said, this really has been the most challenging, inspiring, frustrating, moving, humbling, rewarding swaps I've been a part of. Kudos to our amazing organiser!

Thank you!  I think the skull is from a fox but I'm not sure! Huh  The mason jar is just polymer clay that I used the cane technique on (badly) and then molded to the jar.

I'm so glad Scatter liked everything and I am truly impressed with everything we all have made.  I'm gonna have to stop tossing my beer bottle caps from now on and go make some earrings!
