So many great things have been posted here the past few days. Just catching up on them all.  Those dish scrubbies are a great idea. They look knitted though...?

Yea, they are knitted. I have yet to learn crochet.  Smiley

those dishwashers are amazing. Are they filled with something? Any chances that you share the pattern with us? I would love to have some...

Sure, I got the pattern off of Ravelry. I have the same username there. The one I made is called "circular scrubby." But, for some reason, I can't find it on the web page (I downloaded a PDF off of ravelry). It's supposed to be found somewhere on this web page: http://www.knitability.com/ I held 2 strands of yarn together when I made these, as one strand made them too small for my tastes.

This looks to be the exact same thing, or close to it: http://1870pearl.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/02/rubadubdub.html

Thanks for the info. I found the pdf on ravelry. such a great idea! You should post them in the knitting section as well.

I got my package from psyche! *does a little happydance*
With zebra print packing tape, nonetheless. Psyche tapes with style!

here's all the goodies at once:

psyche used her magic powers to divine that sewing scares me, so she sewed all kinds of textiley goodness for me. first up, the octopants purse:

made from corduroy pants and pj bottoms. a bit hard to see, but it has supersoft paisley lining and the most adorable octopus applique ever.

next are market bags, which i shamelessly hinted that i wanted. beg and ye shall receive:

I *love* the pink bag - it was a shirt in its past life, and she left the buttons and other little details on it. the gray bag is plain, which is perfect because i just bought a brand new roll of freezer paper that needs to be used for some stenciling. I should be looking for a new job today, but crafting is way more fun.

last up are cute zipper pouches and a cocktail hat:

the cocktail hat is a papier mache base with a cherry print fabric (sweet!) and a little fall of tulle to waft ever so elegantly in the breeze. sorry, no action shots - i just got back from a run, and i don't look anything even close to elegant. i just wouldn't do the hat justice.
the pouches are not only cute but useful - a girl can never have enough pouches! the skull print is colorful goth, and the blue one has a bright green zipper that you can't see in the picture. that's screaming for some stenciling, too. maybe i'm just overly excited about freezer paper....

psyche, thank you so much! i love everything, you are just plain ol' fabulous!

Clever! I love those bags made from shirts, and leaving the buttons on only made it better! Nice stuff!
