I received from Superhooker yesterday.

A large denim shoulder tote made from her mother's old skirt. This is all hand stitched, with the tiniest stitches.  My Gramma used to sew like this. Anyway, my gf says this is just right for me.


two planters made from coffee cans.  They are blue, blue, blue and have dragonflies painted on them and six coats of polyurethane. I am totally in love with these.  I had to try one of them out, so I put my favorite cactus in it.


A microwave heat pad filled with corn from her Grandma's cornfield. She used the leftover denim from the skirt.  This is also hand stitched.


And lastly, magnets made from bottlecaps and beads.  I don't know what they are filled with, but I like them a lot.  And the magnets are so strong they would hold up a refrigerator.

Yay!  gallery!  I'm so glad you liked the stuff, pinokeeo!  I was hoping that the planters would be seen as "whimsical" and not "crappy"...   I punched holes in the bottoms, but I wasn't sure how many would be needed, so you may have to make a few more, so your plants don't drown!

My Grandma has been making the corn bags for years and years.  I helped her gather the corn last harvest, and she let me take a bunch home with me.  They are nice in the winter.  We keep our thermostat at 61 degrees all winter, and if you start to get a chill, we warm up a corn bag and it makes you nice and toasty! 

The magnets are just bottle caps, filled with pretty blue beads, and then I filled the caps up with the sparkle mod podge.  I thought it would dry more clear, but it ended up a bit milky.    they shimmer a lot though!

Awesome stuff!!  My bf's mother make those heat pads with rice.  Very nice for monthly cramps.

I never thought of that.  How long is too long?

I heat mine for 2-3 minutes.  Every once in a while you hear a pop, but I think its just from air, or moisture.  Its not popping corn, so it won't actually *pop* or anything.  It stays warm for a couple of hours, especially if you put you and it under a blanket!
