We have all types of crafters here.  Some crochet, knit sew, do plastic canvas, polymer clay, ceramics etc..  It might be difficult to do too much with some of these materials.  Also many people have to rely on a pattern.  So it is my feeling not to make this too complicated.  What do others think?

I think the nice thing about mushrooms is they are  fairly easy to create shape without a pattern but there are lots of free patterns for mushrooms in various mediums:

that's just from a random google search! I'm sure if you looked for sewing patterns there are some too!

Thank you so much Eliea for posting pattern links! You are so awesome! I've bookmarked them already!

Weeee~ there's enough knit/crochet shroom patterns to last me a long time! Can't wait for this swap to start!
I love the mushroom cuffs but for the life of me, I can't knit fair isle >_<

I invite everyone to post ideas/inspiration links here before we start the swap Smiley

Also, I agree with psyche, 1med or 2sm is a very small swap.
Is anyone opposed to a minimum of 1 medium AND 1 small (or more if your partner agrees)? Having a smaller swap also ensures that the crafted items are of higher quality than large swaps.

Kiwi-Chickie, you found a blue mushroom in real life?! How cool is that! do you have pictures?

angels walk and hippiejo74, we can add a question to the questionnaire like "what kind of mushrooms do you like? natural, toadstool, Nintendo 1up, trippy, kawaii, etc..." and partners can be matched accordingly and maybe also "do you have a link to a picture/website of the kind of mushrooms you like?"

I could go along for 1 medium and 1 small.  If partners wish to do more, they could work it out with each other.

1 medium and 1 or two smalls would be great. Still a smaller swap but with the option to do more if partners want to. Smiley

No problem about the patterns. I am a pattern collector so I know how to look. Wink
I have had most of those bookmarked as of recently. I can't knit fair-isle either I can barely knit and purl! But perhaps someone in the swap can. You never know! Plus I think swaps are a great way to challenge ourselves to try something we might not have before. Smiley
Also the graphs could be used for plastic canvas, cross stitch etc. Smiley

Ooo! I'm so excited about this :]!
I agree that a smaller swap with the option of doing larger stuff seems cool. I think it would get more people to join, and encourage the busier people to give it a go.
But what do I know, this is my first swap xD
Eliea~ HOLY CRAP. Those links were supermega useful! I can't wait to try some.

I'm all sick with a cold, and forced into unwanted bedrest (grr) so I'll be making some crochet things here and there, and saving them for this xD I can't wait to see how this goes!

Good morning, Mushroom Heads, from the Pacific Coast.  The waves are crashing upon the rocks, and all I can think about is mushroom swaps.  Wink  And apparently, there is no mushroom picking on the trails!  Redwoods that is.  Everyone, will you please say a prayer, for my wonderful man and I, that we find a home here in lovely California.  Thank you, thank you.  I love you all.
