Some people have seen her already in the poppet along, but I finally have enough posts to include a photo Grin.  So my poppet girl can get a post all her own.

She's my first poppet, first doll of any kind actually.  She's a bit sassy and a tad dangerous.  (I lost a needle in her head while trying to hide the thread used to sew down her hair. Shocked)  She still hasn't told me her name yet, so we're definitely open to suggestions.  She has told me that she needs some knee high socks and maryjanes to go with this skirt.

Thank you again to Ghilie for the pattern and to everyone else who's made poppets which convinced me to make one too.

She's really cute! Nice shapely legs ;-)

I absolutely love her big hair and outfit. Knee socks and chunky Mary Janes would rock the whole ensemble!

People have just been turning people socks inside out and sewing down the middle with a slight space between for cutting. Sort of like making a sock monkey.

And I got a pair of mary janes in the poppet swap that are from micheals. They are regular 18 inch doll shoes. they fit great!

I totally love her eye makeup!  and love seeing her she's really cute. I can totally see the sassy part too. She needs a sassy name like Veronica, or Georgia. Smiley

I'm going to have to go raid my sock draw for her perfect socks.

I looked at all the doll dress up stuff at the craft store and wondered whether the shoes would fit.  I'm glad to know they do. It saves me from having to go to the store, poppet in hand, for a fitting.  Just imagine the looks I would have gotten.

Yes, they would be looks and exclamations of "That is such an awesome doll!  Where did you get it?"
