My craft room, out of a closet!
We just bought our first house, this large closet is in the laudry room, I took the doors off, added a curtain (which the cat likes to play with)
My grandpa made the desk for me out of pieces of a closet organizer.

It is very spacious, I have room to store everything.
I may in the future try to put a bigger desk top in there so that I can keep the sewing machine out.

Not the best picture ever, but here it is...

From left to right, the little white shelf houses my knitting books and patterns, the sewing machine is behind my laptop on the desk, the giant chalkboard will be helpful for figuring out patterns once I re-spray it with that chalkboard stuff, then to the right of that is a big armoire full of crafting supples with two giant Rubbermaid tubs of yarn on top. Also further to the right by the window is another small table/file cabinet full of fabric. I love love love my new craftroom. I'm going to put a futon in it where the wooden chair is, but I need to find a suitable one first. Also that's my big fat kitty on the rug Smiley

I'm so jealous of those of you with craft rooms!! I have room in my apartment I guess but we often host parties and my triple parlor is pretty much off limits to anything I can't spill beer on, HOWEVER I do have an entire hutch dedicated to my supplies! I will post a pic in a few.

I was totally motivated by this thread and took it upon myself to banish my husband to the OTHER side of the bed so I could take over the wall side with his spacious night table. I set up my craft book/magazine rack, my yarn totes and bags and little crafting nescessities in cute boxes. I will post the pic tomorrow. Its not much, but its a little corner in heaven to me!!

Oh this post has sparked a cleaning frenzy in me.  Although I forgot to take a before picture, I'm busy at work reorganizing my mess and can't wait to share pictures.  Everyone's craft areas look so organized so here's hoping I will at least be somewhat organized compared to them.  WTG everyone for doing such good work on your space.

Right now I don't have a crafting room, I kinda have a crafting area where (most of) my supplies are stored.  Except my yarn.  Its all over the place.  Right now I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my son (4 mos) and boyfriend, so you can imagine how cluttered it is.  But!!!  We're moving the week after next!!!  My new house has 3 bedrooms, so I get to share the 3rd one with my boyfriend (computer room...he's into online gaming), plus the laundry room has tons of space that I can use for storage.  It also has one of those industrial sized wash tub sinks that I can use for a multitude of things (like cleaning paintbrushes).  I'm so excited!!!

You all are so lucky that you have designated rooms for crafting (& cool ones at that), I also, only have a "craft area" in my room. Sad
