Usually I'm found browsing the crochet section but I never posted anything here, until today.  Last week I made a crochetd flower using a pattern from lion brand site.  I'm planning to make a few more for my attempt at a crochet cloche hat.

The one I used was http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/ci-cloche.html seen in Knit It!  I just changed the yarn from Incredible Ribbon / Wool-ease to Brown Sheep Nature Spun in Cherry and Yellow and used a G hook.

Yes, thank you! That flower is great! So asymmetrical looking and realisitic. Tropical. I like it!

Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.

At the time you fasten off with color A, you should have 18 ch4-loops made.  Those loops will help you to make the petals.

thanks for the help.  hopefully i can make sense of this and actually have a flower to show for my efforts.  i've tried so many flower patterns and have yet to make one complete flower.  i'll try the pattern again tomorrow when i'm in a better mood.
