This was my entry for the Create your own look Joann's prom contest 2010. Sadly this is the only picture of the dress that I have right now due to computer problems. It was ridiculously hard to get a bunch of bags from Joann's. The workers would not give them to me, so for about a month I went there almost every day and bought something and had them double bag it. haha

sorry to be a downer, but doesnt that defeat the purpose of making anything out of plastic bags?
if youre going to reuse something, instead of throwing it away, why bother having employees GIVE them to you (when they werent used in the first place) or buy something you dont need just to get plastic bags?
either way, it seems entirely wasteful.
nice idea, but i wouldve made it for once i had enough plastic saved up.

it was for a Jo-Ann's competition, so using bags from say WalMart would kinda defeat the purpose in itself; it wasn't made to show what you can do with fused plastic, it was made to enter a competition about individual style and fashion. and anyways, those bags would have gone to someone else had she not taken them lol!

well done, love the dress.

What?! They wouldn't give you extra bags, that's just ridiculous. It's not like you were gonna go throw them in your local pond or something.
