first wheel spun yarn and hand dyed roving

I just finished this a few days ago, and am actually knitting with it now.  here's my first wheel spun single:


here's the 2nd single:


here they are plied together:


and here it is dyed up ready to knit:



then I blended 25% nylon 75% wool on my new drum carder and dyed this roving:

I'm hoping it'll be sock yarn someday.

what do ya think?

i love the colors in the first dyed picture--the blues and greys. what did you use to dye it? (i'm only familiar with kool-aid dyeing, and you don't get such subtle, pretty colors with that usually.)
