i want to make a cake that looks like a zombie and when you cut inot it red goo oozes i have no idea where to start suggestions?

Hmmm, you could use some sort of red jam or even jello (on the soft side) for the ooze.  I would choose a design that would enable me to hollow out (or really just make a pocket by cutting into the cake) part of it to fill with the goo.

Think like those crazy Bake N Fill pans.

Then you could make it look like a head so it's brain is leaking out when you cut it.

I was thinking maybe strawberry gel with some red food coloring added to darken it a bit. Maybe you could use one of those flavor injectors to make several pockets of gel throughout the "innards" of the cake. Had no luck trying to locate a zombie cake mold online though.
