I received my package from Miss_westenra today!

A treasure box and a knitted mushroom... More on the mushroom later.

A treasure box full of fantastic fun! (and a few packers peanuts which will go into our shipping dept to be recycled into other packages)

A troll I think and a pretty butterfly. I think I will adorn them to one of my potted plants they need some decorations added.

a very beautiful bracelet with little charms. Green and Purple are one of my favorite colors. Great Job Miss_westenra!

A fairy with beaded wings... She will definitely be looking over my plants and companionship to the wee little sprouts that are growing.

These bells came out and caught the attention of my dog. Which to my dismay led to the Mushroom incident. The have a wonderful sound.

The Mushroom laid on the table while I ran to answer the phone, when I came back it was gone. I looked over to see my dog had nabbed it off the table and took it to his bed. (I think the Nucklelavee had put a little mischievous behaviors into him) This is by far my favorite of all... I adore mushrooms and now i must wrangle it away from the dog.

He tried to hide behind the mushroom, hoping that I would not see him... but the mushroom wasn't large enough.

Thank you very much Miss_westenra, it was a very lovely package.

Everyones stuff is so sweet! I'm getting really worried that my partner won't like the stuff as much now ^^"

I'll have to wait to put up the teasey pics, having not had a chance to work on them since i found out i had two projects due this week as opposed to the initial one that i had thought was due.

Don't you just hate the sound that deadlines make as they whiz by you?

I'm making a blanket for my uni room as it gets so cold! If you can make/spare any 5X5 inch squares of crochet, I'd happily swap you for something! Please PM me!

I was just informed by poyupop that I missed an item. The box that earrings came in also doubles as a diorama:

I love it madly. It's so darn cute.

oh, and btw poyupop, the charms on the bracelet spell out Fairy in a very fancy font that might be a bit hard to read.

When I was looking at the font... I thought that it was fancy symbols. Now that I am looking at it closer... I see it. LOL I am such a goof.

Cat9: So you like it?  You really like it?  I so wanted to keep that purse...my friends are begging me to make them some of the same one too. Cheesy Do the slippers fit okay? I was worried about that....

I love it all! You can't have it back Wink

The purse is lovely! And the slippers fit just fine. Here, I include an action shot to prove it. Also, to prove that you can't take a picture in my house without my dog trying to get in it Smiley

Hooray! My package arrived! Cat9 sent a LOT of stuff! I had to bring the package into my Mom's study to open it up, since she's had an avid interest in this particular swap.  She's a professional storyteller, and LOVED the idea.  From the minute I opened up the package, I was grinning ear to ear. Here's what was included:

The Dragon is guarding all this golden loot! I actually squealed when I pulled him out of the box. I absolutely love him! My Mom and I named him Hans in honor of Hans Christian Anderson
There's a part in the story "The Tinderbox" that has a blue checked apron. SO CUTE! I didn't take it off the whole time I was unpacking. Cheesy

Golden coin stitchmarkers, and a case for them. Awwwesome....

She called this "A basket",and indeed, the fabric looks like a basket! What a cute bag pattern. Smiley
A cute little stained glass coloring book
A knitting needle roll! I actually don't have one of these, so it's already in use. She did some amazing applique work of the dogs from The Tinderbox (with eyes as big as saucers!) Fionn (the big dog) and Maia (little dog) approve.
A tall book of fairies that my Mom has already stolen for her collection. It has beautiful illustrations!

Goofy ass picture of me wearing the FRIGGIN AWESOME hat she crocheted me! I wanted to show the little ribbon that ties on the side.

A wolf bag! Fabulous colors, and great applique work! My Mom asked if she could borrow it for her "wolf" storytelling program coming up, because she has cards for the kids to create stories with she wants to keep in it. Cheesy

Cat9, I a so blown away by the handstitching you did on your sewn projects! Don't think I didn't notice. Wink I absolutely abhor hand stitching, and I'll avoid it at all costs if I can. But the neat little stitches you did make me believe you aren't afraid of hand stitching, and that impresses me to no end.  Thank you so much, I feel completely spoiled.

Cat9: I also wanted to say that I love love love love love the hat you made me. The color is so gorgeous, and I've always envied cute crocheted hats. Thank you so much, you truly read my mind.  I keep wearing it around the house and asking my family "isn't it CUTE?!" My boyfriend actually just called from Iraq, and I must have used up ten minutes gushing about the things you made me. What a great day! A lovely package, and a call from my sweetie!
