Hiya out there.  Just finished my first hat ever...and my first real project...it's ... something of a failure.
but that's how you learn


I think that's the right link.  I'm a newbie so I can't post pictures yet.

I like your hat, even if it is short.  Is that camouflage yarn?  You could do what I did for my daughter in law's hat that turned out too short...I picked up stitches around the bottom edge and added a few inches it it.  It turned out looking fine...I did a ribbing on hers.

I'm making another one.  He was soo excited about that hat, I felt bad it didn't work out. but he still liked it...he's sweet.

Oh. Just to share, random craftster surfers....
I'm teaching him how to knit.  so far he's only gotten the basic knit stitch, I tried to move on to purling because he's got the knit down...but he said "purls are for girls."
made me laugh...
