I found the lining for this bag and it inspired me. I used my sister's machine to do the applique edges, I've never done it before and her machine is hard to work with, but this is the result!

It has a zipper closure and an adjustable strap. I hate sewing straps!

Tomato farmer! So weird.

Also I made this bag, I'm not sure if it needs a lining. Maybe some bias tape over the seams? What do you think?

I love vintage buttons!

The bags are great, I love the applique work you did on the 1st bag. As far as lining goes, I believe all bags should be lined. It gives them structure & it just plain looks good.

Both are great!
I really love the first one.  Fantastic lining!  The applique is really cool.  I love your color choices!

You're right, little me, it doesn't feel quite done without a lining.
Thanks, I had a lot of fun with the salad bag. I want to do more appliqu.

That applique is awesome! As for the second bag IMO all bags need to be lined. It makes them stronger, hides unsightly seams and makes the bag look more professional. Smiley

Thank you Smiley I think I am going to line that bag, it'll give it more of a finished look.
