Safety lock:  I do that too.  Our neighborhood is quiet, and our complex is really nice and people all know each other and look out for each other...  But i still flip out if my husband forgets to lock a door or window.

I'm the same way with my locks!  I KNOW the chances of something happening here are slim to none, but I still check all the doors and windows every night to be sure.

we live in the woods and i triple check all the locks! i watch too many crime shows that i'm paranoid about everything.

I wouldn't worry too much.  I received 3 today, but I won't have time to scan them for a couple days.  Likely that's other people's situations too.
