I got my last card:

Front text:
"Every time a kid misbehaves in public, I wonder why their parents don't just smack them."
Not ABUSE them. Not BEAT them. Just a spanking. They'd behave better is they had some discipline. "

On the back of the card:
I almost didn't mail this card in. I didn't want to start a spanking vs. beating debate. I don't support child abuse. But sometimes kids are screaming in restaurants or movies and I just want to smack them myself. I hope no one gets upset by my opinion."

I have a differing opinion on spanking but I have to say, I love the Craftstership on the spanking card. It took me a second to realize that the pink circles were a butt.  Cheesy

spanking card - you sent this to the right person. I feel EXACTLY the same way (front text and back). I see/hear these kids screaming at the top of their lungs and I just want to smack their parents though.

Although I feel like this is an American thing. kids from other countries I've seen aren't like this.

I would never condone child abuse (duh), but I have to say I have spanked my son once.  It wasn't a multiple hit thing, just a pop on the butt, he did something very dangerous and scared me.  He realized how serious I was when I did it, and I felt bad after...  He is no worse for wear with the one time discipline and probably doesn't remember it (he's three now and it was last summer).

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

He might remember it. My roommate's first memory is of being spanked when she was two. She definitely knows that she deserved it though, she crossed the street. I myself was never spanked, my parents don't believe in it. But, as far as I know, I never threw a huge tantrum in public, or did anything bad enough to warrant a spanking.

I've received I think my 9th postcard today..

There's clear plastic over it, so it was tough getting a clear shot without being shiny.
It says" I watch porn, read erotic novels, give relationship advice, dress up in lingerie, advocate for STD prevention, listen to The Savage Lovecast, browse sex toy shops, take birth control pills, collect condoms, and discuss my fantasies in detail with my dear boyfriend... I'm still a virgin."

I love, love, love that!
You don't have to be sexually active to enjoy "sexual" things and help out others in prevention and making their relationships better.
I took birth control before I became sexually active, collected condoms from shows I went to, and love(d) sexy lingerie. Wink
You're awesome. Cheesy

we have a very strong anecdotal case for spanking at our house.  my husband likes to point to my family as a prime case study.  the first three of us, my brother and sister and myself, were all spanked when we deserved it.  the words 'shut up' were not to be uttered in the presence of my mother, as well as things like 'yeah' and 'uh huh' and other uncouth things for children.  good behavior in public was strictly enforced*.  the youngest, my sister, was never, ever spanked.  she was encouraged to mouth off, as my dad thought it was endearing for her to exercise her wit upon her siblings, (she looked like shirley temple) and she was 'the baby.'  she talked back to my mom, and as she was of a far more delicate constitution, i took a most of the punishment when we had joint misadventures (i'm older, by 18 months, so i was responsible.)  as she was a delicate little flower, and i was a stout, coarse strong kid, we weren't allowed to fight physically after i was 12.  so, she's pretty much a disrespectful cunt.  she treats my parents like crap, which just riles me no end.  she hasn't any respect for our brother at all (i idolized him, he's 10 years older than me and i thought he was the coolest thing ever) nor any for my rad older sister.  she is just the most spoiled, disagreeable brat i've ever seen, and we seldom speak.  she got into a lot of fights in school, and i always had to beat up some kid who had pwned her, nothing personal on my part. she thinks i left home at 16 to get away from my mom, really the bigger impetus was to get far away from her, since i was lifting weights and pretty in shape, i was afraid i was going to pummel her one day.
so, my husband looks at my family, and says 'we don't want her turning out like your little sister.  spare the rod, spoil the child.'  so, sometimes my kid gets a spanking. i'm more inclined to give her a flick on the back of the hand, than spank, though.

*only my mom spanked us, my dad couldn't do it, he hadn't the heart to spank his kids.  he had other methods, though- a misbehavior in town warranted one putting one's hands on the ceiling of the car and keeping them there until we got home.  it was 30 miles to town.  i know i only had to do that once.
