Duct tape - gah, I feel the same way. Some people at a 'con I was at made their armour entirely out of duct tape. It looked so tacky, and almost like it might have taken more work, time and money to use duct tape than to use Wonderflex or something similar. I'm sorry, but while duct tape does have a novelty factor, after a while I think the majority of people grow out of it and start using actual fabric for things once made of duct tape. I know I have...although I do really still love colored duct tape, especially for making roses and the like. Oh, and most of the duct tape things I've seen on here are actually pretty cool...but that's because Craftsters are talented. Cheesy

Motorcycle - I love you! Cheesy

MArried best man : I'm glad things worked out for the best!

Etsy: If the stuff on the back is your stuff then you SHOULD sell. I'd get the diet coke wallet and capri sun bag. If it helps, Ive seen plenty of etsy stores with crap for sale.

duct tape -- compared to the "white and nerdy" that i would usually be classified, i think i'll choose to take "ghetto" as a compliment!

hey, at least it's not "ghettofabulous", eh?!   Wink  Maybe that would be duct-tape plus bedazzler, which i am seriously planning on trying!

PS: i kinda like this definition.
Quote
4. (adj.) jury-rigged, improvised, or home-made (usually with extremely cheap or sub-standard components), yet still deserving of an odd sense of respect from ghetto dwellers and non-ghetto dwellers alike
it's similar to what my husband calls "guerrero", which, despite the similar spelling, is closer in meaning to McGyver than to ghetto.

PS2: i love urbandictionary - it's so educational!  and it helps me talk about idioms with students who have all different kinds of slang depending on their backgrounds and whether they are from this region or not.  we can look stuff up and compare slangs in different dialects of english and then see if that slang exists in spanish, too.  descriptive > prescriptive linguistics, hmmm, and i am supposed to be teaching grammar?!

shower fear
wow that was a really clever effect how you made the shower curtain with even the grommets above for the shower curtain rings.

whenever i go to the bathroom at someone else's house, i always have to open the shower curtain (to make sure there is nobody hiding in the shower), before i can use the toilet.

shower:  I am the same way... I sing in the shower telling myself that will scare people away.  I also am afraid to open my eyes again thinking there will be a ghost or something there!  Too many scary movies lol.

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.
