This is a quilted/appliqued wall hanging for my brand new nephew.

I was given no clue if the baby would be boy or girl so this lime green guy seemed like a safe choice.  Plus the baby furniture is all painted that colour.
It IS straight - I laid it on the grass outside for the picture and it appears wonky.

I used up lots of buttons, the felt flowers come from a hairclip set.  The birthdate is embroidered on the large felt flower.  The dark blue fabric is denim.

Here's the back.  I really like this green fabric !

I love you. And not, not in a friendly way, although I think we're great friends. And not in a misplaced affection, puppy-dog way, although I'm sure that's what you'll call it. I love you. Very, very simple, very truly. You are the epitome of everything I have ever looked for in another human being.

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

Is that like the dark side....  Smiley   not sure what you mean.  All the buttons are sewn onto the front panel before sandwiching together with the batting and then the backing.  So they do not go right through to the back but they could be added that way.  Ii hope that made sense.

No.  The pattern can be found in an australian magazine called Handmade.  I can look up which issue if anyone is really keen to know.
The magazine version is quite differerent, the green body was crayoned rather than applique!!  The legs were satin stitch not buttons.  I added the birthdate flower and baby name & flowers and did a different type of border.  I never follow instructions and do my own thing Smiley
