Ok, so my friend's birthday is coming up soon, and I'm not one for buying gifts, I like to make them instead Smiley I decided to go with the theme of "Beach" this year, partly inspired by her once telling me she liked anklets, and my casual observations that she likes items made from straw... So here's what I've come up with so far:

The whole package:

The "card":

(for those who don't know what it is, it's an accordion book)

The jewellery (posted on the jewellery board with some other necklaces so it might be repetition for some):

(pendant of a silver chain necklace)

all packaged up:

The scarf (she has a purple bag that's the same colour as the dark stripe...and it's still cold here so I thought I'd throw that in...I'm passing it off as a stripe of the sunset you might see over the water Tongue):

the colours are more true to this photo i think:

Does anyone have any more ideas of what I can make?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions ^^ Comments are welcome as well.

What a thoughtful friend you are! These are all beautiful gifts (I especially love the anklet) and your friend is sure to love them.

You are such a great friend!  you could always make her a matching hat to go with the scarf, or ummm get some inexpensive flip flops and crochet fun fur around them, those turn out pretty cute and would go with the beach theme

I don't know if you've ever done melt and pour soapmaking, but it's really easy. They have these molds at Joanns that look like shells. You could make her some soap! It's probably the cheapest and easiest craft I've ever done. And everyone likes soap!

thanks guys Smiley for both the compliments and the ideas ^^

the soap idea is awesome and flipflops would be good if she liked them Sad she's one of those people who don't like feeling that wedge between her toes >_<
