I know... no tea cozies without irony...  Tongue
It's not all that ironic - but it did kill a couple hours!
I'm just amazed that I actually completed (and photographed) a project without leaving it half finished for weeks.

My Tea Pot was naked (and I think living in sin with the French Press) so I went through my scrap stash and got to work.

Here's a shot of the cozy in all it's glory (and my sublime stitching inspired attempt at embroidery).

edit: to fix photos. Smiley

Alright!! I just made my first pot of peppermint tea with the new tea cozy (and forgot about it for an hour haha). It's warm and lovely! The denim really holds the heat in.

Added some new photos to the above post (I guess my original link was broken - thanks for letting me know Smiley)

*wanders off to enjoy her tea*

Lack of irony or not, that is one adorable tea cozy.  The little teabag on it is so cute!

I am a big tea drinker, so I just may have to break down and make myself a cozy too!

Thank you! I've never really tried embroidery before but recently picked up the sublime stitching book...

My honey and I seem to forget about the tea all the time - at least this gives us another hour or so of hot tea.  Grin

This totally inspires me! I want to do more hip embroidery projects but have a hard time of thinking what items to hipify with embroidery. Now I know.

PS: I haven't seen my french press for awhile so maybe I should hop on this project before my gets in trouble Roll Eyes!
