Hey! I made some washcloths out of old socks, and thought it would be fun to share. I took old holey boys-played-basketball-with-no-shoes (!#$!#@@@!) socks, and outgrown little girl t shirts. I just cut the biggest square I could get from the foot part (and saved the elastic part for arm sweat-bands! Smiley then I took a shirt, and cut it about an inch and a half wider than the sock. Folded over the edges twice and stitched it down. I also stiched and X across the centers because I thought it might get wonky if I didn't.. Anyway, they work. I am sure they could be much prettier, but hey... They are dirty old socks. Smiley





I wasn't sure about posting this under the recycled crafts, I didn't see a completed projects place there...   Undecided

what a great idea and such you did a very nice job of de-socking your socks.
i am sure that so many people are gonna read this and have a "why didn't i think of this" moment.   Wink

I think this is great. I usually use old socks, clothes for cleaning and dusting rags. You made something you can continue to really use. good job!
