well folks, nice to be posting again. this is my first post in a long long time. I've been very busy with school. I have been looking around though, you guys never stop amazing me!
So I'm taking a figure painting class this quarter, and alas! this is a landscape. I haven't seriously painted in a year, and i haven't attempted landscapes in over two... so this is a YAY for me. I really dig it, I was at the lake with the family... bbqing and what not. I had to fend off small children that kept saying " Unt Bonnie, I Dunn see it. UNT BONNIE! I DUNT SEE IT!" but any way. If you can't see it, step back a few feet. I think its crazy how it works! up close can't see crap, from far away its like, "Oh! Trees!" hehe.

as always, i'd love some feedback. What do you think?
Thank you all for looking!

Personally, I love it. And you're right, step back a bit and you see so much and the colours and brush strokes make so much sense. That feeling is so wonderful.  Cheesy
What media did you use?

Wonderful painting, again.  Grin

CosmicCarrot mentioned the similarity between this painting and a piece by Klimt. And I can't help but get all curious and go looking over the web for that certain painting. This is just informational. CosmicCarrot, which one did you have in mind? Beech Grove I or Farmhouse with Birch Trees?
