i've been painting mostly in oils at the school's studio,
but since i'm on break and don't have access to a
good cleaning/disposal area for my turpenoid,
i thought i'd try to paint with acrylics at home since
they're water-soluable. i also wanted to see how well i could
blend acrylics before they dried.

size is about 10 x 10 inches

I really like this.  Acrylics can definitely be difficult, but the challenge is a nice change of pace.  I think you were very sucessful in your blending, and I admire the way you painted the eye with such contrast, even though you were using a very limited color palette.  Great painting!
