Swap name: Postcards from Around the Country
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: MeOwZa
Sign-up date range: 1-23-05 --> 2-14-05
Date to send item by: March 5th

Limited to a certain number of people?: The more the better

Non-U.S. participants allowed? No, but if someone would like to do an international post card swap that'd be cool!

All ages allowed? All ages

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders"
list and will not allow those members to participate: YES

Organizer has been a member for at least 1 month and will
make sure that every participant has been a member for
at least 1 month: YES

Details of swap:

Wouldn't it be fun to get a postcard from every state in the country? Well, I think so and if there are enough people signed up it might actually happen! The idea is NOT for every person to send out 50 postcards. I know that there are a lot of people from the same state and they'd bascially split up the list. This is kind of an idea in the works and it will only work if enough people from a lot of states decide to participate. I am aiming for each person sending ~15 postcards each and receving 51 (can't forget about D.C.) (hopefully from each state-- or at least each state that participates!)

The postcard doesn't have to be a craft masterpiece-- it just needs to represent the state you're living in. You don't even need to write a message-- a simple GREETINGS FROM XYZ would be enough.

If this is terribly confusing post your confusion & I'll clear it up

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address
Because I don't know ALL the state abbreviations-- The state you live in:

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

Everyone who has PMed me up to this point is offically in the swap. We still need a lot more people! The more people who sign up the less we all have to make!

If it turn out is real low we'll just exchange with each other or something.

Anyway I'll send everyone who signed up a PM when the swap is closed with the addresses they should mail to and whatnot.

I'll make announcements in the thread just because its a lot easier than PMing everyone involved!

These are the people signed up--- if you're not on this list & should be or want to me, PM me and let me know! There is plenty of room.

These are the states participating-- if you're state isn't on here-- REPRESENT! If your state is already on here, sign up anyway!!

North Carolina
South Carolina
Massachusetts
Texas
California
Colorado
Georgia
Washington
Oregon
Colorado
Oklahoma

(I know Colorado is listed twice, 2 people signed up from CO. If 15 or less is the grand total, everyone will make a postcard for everyone else and the CO people will get a postcard from their home state)

Are you guys getting excited yet???

I'm excited... and me signing up adds another state to the list... but if you want more ppl to sign up then maybe post a related thread in the ATC swap forum?  Or extend the sign up date?  That might work, alot of papercrafters frequent mostly the ATC Swap Forum.

What is the ATC swap forum??

I may extend the deadline-- I just wanted to give people enough time to get their ideas together

right now 14 are signed up-- i'd be willing to extend if it meant more states in the swap!
