no, really, I have nothing to wear.... I had a baby and am 30 pounds heavier than my nice clothes would like.   And I have no money.  But lots and lots of stashed yarn.

So I'm going to "India Night" for dinner and entertainment.  I have a pair of pants that will do.  I need to knit a top.  Something cute, sexy, maybe Indian-inspired, and FAST.  oh, and that will look good over DD lactating boobers and a stretched out flabby tummy.

Any suggestions?

yes!  lovely.... small guage and long skirt, though.  hmmm.  But she's got some great patterns!  I've "favourited" her page.

Any other suggestions?  We're on the right track here...

i don't know about the indiam theme, but if i were looking for something fast i'd go for big gauge, and possibly with simple lace too.
do you think lelah could work? maybe with straps to hold it up better, and using bigger and bigger needles toward the bottom, to make it flared?

I think Lotus Blossom from Knitting Daily fits the bill.

There are a couple of others on Knitting Daily that might work as well:
Mermaid Mesh it is loose and lacy so it should go fast. Probably make short or no sleeve and maybe even shorten the length since it is tunic length.
Bella Blouse I think this one has an "ethnic" look.
Summer Wheat Tank not my favorite but it would camoflage the tummy.

You might have to sign up to get the patterns but it is free. They send a daily email - that alternates - one day is "ads" the next day is tips or free patterns. PM me if sign-up is a problem.
