I made this item for the Shakespeare swap.  It is woodburned and decoupaged.  Thanks for looking!

Here is the box (sorry, a bit fuzzy)

Awesome! I wanted to do that swap but the timing didn't work out for me  Cry

I bought a bottle of wine called "writer's block" that has a pic of ole will on the label, specifically to craft something out of the label. The wine wasn't very good, but I managed to choke it down. Now to figure out how to steam the label off and make something awesome!

That's amazing! How do you do woodburning? It sounds interesting. Smiley
Speaking of Shakespeare… Happy Birthday William! It's April 23rd and his birthday. I was actually at the globe on Sunday, it was free entry. Kind of like a birthday party. I bought 8 badges, all of which contain quotes or something to do with his plays. For example, I now have both a 'Team Montague' bagde, and a 'Team Capulet' badge.

By the way, if you're American, I think you call them buttons over there. Not sure… I have an American penpal and sometimes it's like we speak a different language!

Two nations separated by a common language, and all that [grin] And actually April 23rd isn't definitely his birthday; it's only presumed to be (for various reasons to do with the date of his christening). What we do know for certain is that it's the date of his death. I'm sad to have missed that at the Globe; I'm a Londoner and Friend of the RSC myself and wish I'd been there.

When I saw the title of this thread I got all sad and worried thinking it was one of those book safes made out of a copy of the Complete Works or somesuch and that would probably have made me cry. But this is just fricking awesome, and I want one!

I too was sad to have missed out on the swap, I didn't get feedback from my first in time :-( Ahh well, next round... *hopes*

Yeah, we call them buttons over here. Smiley But I've heard them called badges here too. Tongue So it's all good.  Shakespeare is cool. I took a class dedicated to just his works last semester.
