I just remembered this crafty thing I did years ago with an old-school green glass Coke bottle.  Made a ring out of the top of it.  You just use a saw to score the bottle, right under the lip.  then you tap it with a screwdriver and a hammer until it breaks off.
It makes a really cool unusual ring.  I wonder what ever happened to the one I made...

I forget to mention that bit.  I sanded mine down on the driveway...I'm sure a dremel or some sandpaper would work better!
