This is my first hat after picking up the needles late February and making a couple of simple scarves. It wasn't knitted in the round, but as a rectangle-ish piece that is stitched together. I used this pattern: http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/bevsbasichat.html , size 10 needles, and Jo-ann's Sensations Rainbow Classic yarn.



Here is a closeup of the stitches:


This was also my first successful pom-pom. Smiley Yay!
