YUCK! In-and Out Burger is soooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooo over-rated! But I really miss good mexican food and sushi sold in the grocery store. And real fresh fruit that actually TASTES like it's supposed to. And perfectly ripe avocados. And and and and..........I guess I just miss California. My art was considered tame there......

I tend to do a lot of paper-related projects making books and all so my favorite places to go in Minnesota are:

Archiver's
more scrapbook-oriented but have a good selection of papers, wide array of tools, and have frequent classes/workshops!

Paper Source
This store has a lot of quality stationery, some higher-end tools for embossing, and beautiful handmade sheets of Japanese, Indian, and Lokta papers. Great source for decorative papers.

Anchor Paper
My absolute favorite place to go for unique paper. Unless I need bulk, wholesale amounts, I usually shop at Anchor Paper Express rather than at their warehouse b/c there they have smaller amounts available as well as more scrapbooking/embossing/bookbinding tools. (Though you can usually go in the back where they stock and get paper by the #.) Anchor Paper has never failed me for either crafting or graphic design projects. LOVE THEM.

How funny.  I work for a printing company, and we buy massive amounts of paper from Anchor, but I never realized they sold to the general public.  I would be very interested to stop in and see what they have!

Crafts Direct in St Cloud. The store is huge and they carry supplies for about any project you can think of. They also carry alot of good quality fabrics. Its worth the drive from the cities. There is also a quilt store/ yarn store nearby that I think is called Grubers.

Beadhive on Nicollet, and there is a new fabric store/sewing lounge around the corner.

Shops that sell crafted items include: Corazon (several locations), Shoppe Local, which burned down but I hope will rebuild. It's owned by the Patina folks, and I Like You in St Anthony Main.

It is the HUGEST craft store I have ever been to, they have classes on tons of different crafty subjects all the time, they have a buyer rewards program, and they accept all competitors coupons.  It's awesome-totally worth the drive if you don't live close.

Ax-man is a great store! A friend of ours took us there the other weekend and we ended up spending a good hour browsing, laughing at the little quibs they had posted all over the store and buying all the switch cords they had for next to nothing.
