Thanks everyone for all your kind comments. I am really pleased with how they turned out. It's nice to have a dress that actually fits in all places. Store bought clothes are designed for "averages," not people who actually exist. Haha!

Very cute! And there's nothing wrong with matching outfits! When I was little my mom made outfits for her, my sister and me so we matched every Easter Smiley

My mom did too...we didn't get many new dresses growing up, but every Easter she'd make matching dresses for my sister and I (and my step-sister when she lived with us) and sometimes herself...new matching shirts for my brother and step-dad too. She did that every year...until I was about 12, then I started making my own!

yes it's cheesy but also makes me very happy.

That's exactly what I thought. I enjoy my daughter so much and it makes me very happy to dress us alike.

I didn't have a zipper, and didn't want to spend money on one, so I fastened the back with buttons and loops...here's a picture. I forgot to post it last night.

It gapes just a tad when I move, but nothing indecent.

Awwww...lol  I think its adorable.  My daughter is 7, and she would still love a matching mommy daughter outfit.  Beautiful work!

You two look adorable! Not corny at all. I especially love the button and loop closures. Fantastic job!

Too cute!  I would have died of joy if my mother wore a matching dress with me.  Smiley

OH MAN! Those dress look fantastic on the both of you.  I am just so jealous.  The color choices look great together... I personally don't think the cherry blossoms need red, they will pull away from the simplicity of the dresses.  I'm totally checking out that tut.   Y'all will be the best looking ladies on Easter!
