So I got this really cute skeleton tshirt from walmart at Halloween for about 5 dollars.  The only problem is that it was too small/short and apparently skeleton shirts are real popular with scene kids, which I'm not really into.
So, what to do? Recon of course!

Before:

No craft is complete without help from our fuzzy children, am I right?

After:

Action shots!:

top half

bottom half

Hood

The zipper was longer than it needed to be but it works because now my neck is toasty

and for no real reason other than i thought it would be cute, i added a wee heart on the the patchwork band at the bottom.

You can't really tell from the crappy cam shots but its really patch worky(intentionally so) all the seams are on the outside and done in contrasting threads.

I'm REALLY proud of how well i lined up the skeleton with the zipper!!

and the best part is, it glows in the dark!!!

Edit: Ps, as soon as I get my hands on a better camera I'll take some better photos with details. Smiley

I have to agree with previous comment.  The zipper really sells it!  Awesome.

I like the hoodie, but one thing stuck me as funny. You say that you didn't want to look like a scene kid, but all the modifications you made to it makes it like a bazillion times more scene-y... red/black/white color combo, checkers, hearts are all scene cliches. but I dolike the hoodie, don't get me wrong.

The sky is blue and righteous in every direction. The sun is total and burning and just there in front. We're on top of the clouds and this is a beautiful day forever. -Chuck Palahniuk, Survivor

It's a little bit ironic I suppose.  I figured, one of a kind items can't be scene though. :p
Plus, aren't those all OLD scene cliches?  The new ones are guns diamonds and bats Sad
