so i never take before pics..
imagine this dresser painted white... but it was wooden before it was white and my cousin didnt sand it or prime it before she painted it so you could tell it was painted it had brush strokes....

ok.. so my boyfriend hated it .. and i finally gave in and we tried giving it away to 3 different ppl and they "didnt have room" (which was total lies)...after it sat in our dinning room for two weeks I decided it was a nice dresser with nice wooden drawers not that like card board stuff that breaks if you over fill so i got the idea to paint it ... so its now glossy black and has rainbow handles and it matches my room perfectly... no more piles of clothes everywhere!!! yay and my boyfriends jaw dropped to the floorwhen he seen it... he was surprized about how goos it looks and now he really likes it. Grin

the pics turned it alittle weird .. when i clean up my room more ill post a pic of my room with the dresser in it

I LOVE it.
Rainbow is my favourite colour, I'm a bit obsessed. It looks so nice against the black!

This looks fantastic!  Did you just paint the handles, or did you buy them like that?  If you painted them, what sort of paint did you use?  I need new hardware for my kitchen drawers, and something colourful like this would look so cool!

cool.  where'd you get the rainbow handles?
« Reply #7 on: March 20, 2008 03:49:17 PM »

the handles were on there.. and i tok them off and painted them...

and i used paint from walmart... we had it left over from when i touched up our dining room chairs and table
i didnt use a sander because when my cousin painted it she used a primer instead of regular paint... so i just did two coats and it covered fine... good luck
