I made this pillow for HSG in the Decorate My House Swap. It was my first time making anything artsy with fabric and I love how it turned out! I put some fusible web on the yellow fabric, drew a tree design on the paper, cut it out, and fused it to the red fabric. The appliqué itself required very little sewing--I just embroidered the leaves with floss after fusing them to make them sturdier. I think I'll have to make one for myself!

(I also knitted the blanket on the couch.  Smiley)

Thanks for looking!

I just got odd looks for going "oh wow!" at the screen  Roll Eyes

That's awesome!  Can I steal the idea?!  I love the look of fabric art, but I'm near useless at sewing  Cheesy

Cheesy Thanks for the action shot, HSG! I'm so glad you like it.

And thanks for the nice comments, guys! Mojen, I'd love to see your version if you make one.

I love this-
I think it would look really awesome with a silhouette look (black tree with a bright colored background)
