It took me the longest time to decide what to make with some Wizard of Oz fabric I bought. I made this top and embellished some old jeans. I cut the pants off at the knee and added the blue fabric and eyelet lace to the bottom. So they hit about mid shin. I used a scalloped stitch for the botttom and a decorative stitch to attach it all with. I added the same eyelet to the bottom of the top. I seamripped the pockets off of the jeans and made new ones from the bottom of the pant legs I had cut off. I added some glitter with a mix of glitter fabric paint (the silver on glenda and ruby shoes) and fabric glue and glitter (the pink on glenda). I took it to show my hairdresser today. She is a big Wiz of O fan and another hairdresser bought it for $60. I plan to make more, my next one is going to be in sepia tones.

That is so cute. I'm so glad you finally got it done. I love the cute stitching you did on it too. Gives it some character. Can't wait to see your next one!

I bought some at a local quilt store and ordered some online at repodepot fabrics.
