ok first off I got the idea from amandadawn's post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=233201.0  I wanted to make something for my sister to go with the books I bought her and I thought what better than a personalized mug and saucer complete with TimTams and cocoa from World Market.  =)  Please let me know what you think, constructive criticism is welcome as always.

All 3 together (I made a kosher salt dish for myself)

So cute! Was the verdict on the marker you used on it that it is indeed safe to eat off of?

yes, the marker is food safe it's made by pebeo.  Basically you draw on your ceramic/porcelain, let it dry for 24 hours and then bake it in the oven at 300F for 35 minutes to get the paint to set.  It's food safe and also the colors are dishwasher resistant.  all for the low, low price of $4.75 =)
