It's my friend's daughter's birthday, and her favorite color is "oranga". After seeing several cute crayon rolls and aprons on here, I decided to make her this! (my friend and her daughter have similar birthdays, just a day or 2 apart, so I made my friend a wonder woman apron and her daughter a crayon apron!)

applique before gathers & crayons:

I hope she likes it!  Smiley

It's so friggin' adorable and useful in the crayon holding department!
I love everything about it!
Aw, if I only I had the need to hold a bunch of crayon shaped objects...or the need for an apron...
Once again, this is so so cute. SO CUTE!
Great job. Cheesy

Aw, thanks everyone!

I saw one online that said it was 10" long x 21" wide, so I sort of followed that. Mine is 10" long plus the vintage eyelet is another...inch or 2. I used a remnant for the base so it's the width of the remnant, which is 26"(before gathering), and the waist, ties and crayon section were determined by the sides of fat quarters. I eyeballed everything, because the friend and her daughter live out of state (as do most of the kids I know, so I am always winging stuff). So...I hope it fits, don't take my measurements too much to heart! For the flowers I cut circles using a shot glass, a juice glass, and a highball for templates. I cut a few of each fabric and matched them up until I likes it, with 2 or 3 circles per flower, and ribbon for stems, and attached them with a cute wavy stitch my machine does. I free cut the leaves and straight stitched a row down the middle and then around the outsides kind of roughly.

I love this!  I'll bet my little girls would love crayon aprons.  After the Easter dresses are done, I'm gonna have to steal your idea.
