Okay since there is still time I decided to enter another card.
This is one I've thought about for awhile.

It's called - My life in aboriginal dots.

This is based on the aboriginal dot paintings which told a story with the dots but the meaning was usually hidden to everyone else.

I did this digitally so it's more like old world meets new. (I did one with real paint but it smeared - that's why I love digital!)

My story is each spiral represents a person and their pathway through life

The middle spiral is me - the spiral on the bottom is my husband and our spirals connect - we've been married 30 years now

the third top right is my daughter. Our spirals used to intertwine but she has graduated high school and has moved out and started college. She and her father have had a falling out (they are too much alike) and she has moved away from him but still is close to me but not intertwined. The tip top spiral is my daughter's boyfriend who she is thinking of spending her life with - they are starting to intertwine.

The dots around each of us represent some of our paths. My husband's paths are mostly straight. He works alot and does his best to take care of me and the house and his responsibilities. There are some wavy paths because he does have his creative side - he has a wonderful music talent and he also has his fun side. I have more wavy paths than him because I have a lot of creativity and I'm much more of a people person than he is. My daughter's paths are all over the place right now. She is going to school to become a nurse so that path is straight but she is trying to find out who she really is and where her place is in the world and so her most of her paths are being formed.

There is also a place where the dots form a cross because God is all our lives.

I've been wanting to do aboriginal dots since i've seen them. Some use colors - some black and white - I thought the black and white was more challenging to see if you could still see the pictures - and I thought it was ironic since life is NEVER black and white!!!

That is a wonderful card ... thanks for the meaning behind it. I also love the aboriginal dot painting. Our library at school has a book of poetry for children and all of the illustrations are done by a fabulous aboriginal artist. I just love looking at it.

Thanks neverseenblue and colorfuldayz. I'm normally a private person but I kind of feel like Craftser people are almost family. And I have also found that sharing some of my life sometimes helps other people who have gone thru (are going thru) something similar to realize they are not alone. There is so much of my life I left out tho, I feel like I should do a series lol!  Polka dot therapy..... hmmmmmm......

kaleesi that's a beautiful card! I love the idea behind it... I may try something like that in my journal later.

I wish I had something more to add to the ATC threads, but it's been a weird month for me. There's some great work in here  Cheesy

This is the same picture but I tried to 3Dify it so it really looked like paint - what do you think?

Very nice ... it does make a difference. Now it looks like the 3D paint dots, or dots made with the Sakura glaze pens.
