I'm Italian and my fiance is Polish so we figured there was no way we could make everyone happy with our wedding so we decided to go Canadian (we were both born here anyways).  In order to prevent people from complaining that there is no pasta or perogies we decided on a Thanksgiving wedding complete with turkey and all the trimmings!  Our wedding is October 11th (Canadian Thanksgiving) and so the crafting as has begun!

Things to do:
Flower girl baskets (foam pumpkins with pearl handles) (idea from another craftster)
Centrepeices- baskets with apples and mini pumpkins on faux leaves (I got the leaves really cheap on Boxing Day at Pottery Barn)
Bridesmaid and Flower Girls hair picks
Pew decorations
Box for envelopes at the reception
Peach jam for guests

My fiance and I have started the invites.  We saw the idea at a wedding show and said no way are we paying for something we can do ourselves.  The orange, yellow and green paper have a linen finish so they are pretty hard to use the punch on but they are coming along slowly.  Here they are!

The brown leaves are actually just punch into the orange layer so the brown layer underneath shows through.  This is just a markup so there is no writing and their won't be the line on the cream paper.  The leaf on the cream paper was cut out of the cream to show orange but we didn't like it so we filled it in with a brown leaf.

Ooooh exciting!  Everything looks super elegant.  Will you post more as you complete it?  Cheesy

I love your idea! Warm colored, earthy weddings are simply amazing.
