I was browsing through my (long) list of tutorials I have saved on my computer looking for a quick project I could make before I had to prepare dinner yesterday.

I came across the easy skirt tutorial via Two Little Banshees and got it done from start to finish in an hour.

I somehow managed to cut my elastic a smidge to big so I'll have to fix that (hence the pictures of her sitting down).  Anyways, the strawberry fabric is actually a vintage pillowcase I found while thrifting last summer and the red is some that I've had in my stash that I've been wanting to use up here and there.  (It's the color of red that is bright and almost makes your eyes bleed so I want to use little bits of it in different projects).

She was painting when I took the pictures

I want to make some more for her because it does look really cute on her.

Thank you everyone!  Grin

I got it from Salvation Army and it is huge (king size I think).  I was originally going to make myself a purse with it but then thought a skirt for her would be better.  I actually have a good size chunk of it left that I still could make a purse.  But chances are that it'll get turned into something wearable for my oldest daughter  Tongue.
