here is a stencil i made this weekend.
long ago, i was pretty much obsessed with mc escher.  i used to spend hours and hours making intricate tessellations.  this was when i was a teenager.  its been years since i've drawn any tessellations, but i was reminded of them the other day and decided to give it a go on a stencil plastic sheet.  this one is relatively simple, just a rotation, but it turned out all right i think.
although i'm pretty darn competent at sketching, im a stencilry noob- i've probably stenciled four times ever, so its not so great in the 'even coverage, blotty leaks' department.  anyhow let me know what you think!  (tessellations are SO addictive, and even my rudimentary mathematical skills are sufficient to make them happen.  give it a try!)

rotated four times, ie complete image

the actual stencil

She is beautiful!  Definitely reminescent of Escher, but more whimsical!

Why do some people think being a parent is only something to do when it is convenient for you?

it is not inertia alone that is responsible for human relationships repeating themselves, monotonous and un-renewed, it is shyness before all else.
