I made this gnome beer cozy for a swap. My partner had a knitted version in her wist, but since I can't knit, I thought I would try to make a crochet version. It was so much fun to make, although I did have to make it three times before I was happy with the way it fit on the bottle. With out further ado-

And a close-up of the stitches

P.S. My first Craftster completed project post!!!

This is cute; I really like this... I usually don't like mixing (I'm just weird this way, nothing personal) felt or material w/ my crochet, but this is really neat... good work!

I think it's super cute!  I love the mix of the felt gnome with the crocheted cozy  Smiley  And, I totally understand about how it's hard to get it to fit - that's why I make them a little too big, then felt them.  Then, I dry them on the bottle so that they are exactly the right size.

I was going to do this- it is made with wool yarn- but I ended up really liking the way the stitches looked. My next one I make I think I will try crocheting and then fulling.
