Using the idea from Generation T by Megan Nicolay, I transformed my HUGE but beloved Edward Gorey bat Tshirt into something I'll actually wear! I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I wonder if there isn't something I can do to make the sleeves area cooler, I'm very willing to take suggestions on that! But here are the pics:

I had to bring in the sides quite a bit, so I was starting with a tshirt that actually fit me, then I cut out a boat neck, then cut the back out, snipped holes up the sides, and threaded the ties through, I made them by cutting 1" strips from the bottom of the tshirt and then stretching them gently, which causes the fabric to curl into nice little ropes. Then I snipped off the sleeves, and viola!  Hope you like!

I also talk about it on my blog:

Abso-frickin-lutely adorable! I would go cut up a t-shirt right now, but alas, I gots ta wear the bra. Think it would look a bit funky with a bra strap cutting right through the middle....
Looks great on you, though!

Science is crafty too.

Love it.
