They're 2 3/8" by about 3 3/4", and roughly 3/4" high.  Smiley

I must say, I've never used bacon as a bookmark (though that story did call those bacon bandages to my mind, too). But it's good to know that bacon does not qualify as ephemera under the swap terms and conditions. Tongue

What I can't figure out, is that I HATE Altoids, but have about four tins in my collection.

I am such a good craft hoarder.  :-)

I know what you mean. Here in the UK they dont sell Altoids but I managed to get a real Altoid tin by smilling really nicely at the lady who sits in front of me in choir so that we she would give it to me when she had finished the mints (she got them on holiday). She said "You can have it on the condition you tell me what for!" She had never heard of using them and altering them. (think she thought I was mad but then many people who meet me think that)

I also discovered that Marks & Spencers (a posh shop) sell their own brand mints in tins very similar to the Altoids but the metal is a tiny bit thinner. I have two of them and I dont even like mints either!  Grin

Meanwhile, here in the US they sell Altoids using ads suggesting that the mints are British. Go figure.

Yay!  I'm so excited for this swap!!  I've been thinking a lot about punching holes in the top to embroider the tins... this might be a good excuse to try!  I can think of so many fun things to stuff in there- I love tiny objects!!
