Details of swap: If you're anything like me, you have a little stash of Altoid tins just aching to be decorated (OK, I admit it, my stash is HUGE), plus a few drawers or envelopes full of fun ephemera that would be perfect for the job! You would also appreciate some new
ephemera in exchange for some of what you already have.
For this swap, you will decorate an Altoid tin inside and out, and then stuff it full of fun ephemera. Think tickets, pretty stamps, parts of foreign text...anything you can get in there. If your partner indicates an interest, you may also include fun brads and/or metal accessories. You may only send what fits inside the tin
, so this will be a fun, easy swap. Please send nice things that you would be happy to receive!
The tins will make a padded envelope thick enough for a dc number, so if you're sending within the States, dc's will be required. Some people have asked about using tins that are similar in size to Altoid tins. That is perfectly fine, as long as the size is close. I'm not having anyone specify a theme for the decoration of the tin, but if you wish, feel free to talk to your partner and see if they have a theme in mind. Otherwise, just make it pretty with what you have. One more thing: please post in this thread if you are going to participate!!
