Scraps of string just got too boring, so I made these today -

I made 10 total. The ones with loops are for knitting, with lobster hooks for crochet.

I wrote up a tutorial here: http://needyl.com/knitting/stitch-markers-knitting-and-crochet
(please ignore how the site isn't done... I'm working on it Smiley )

These are cute. I made some for crochet with lobster clasps and I found them a pain to hook and unhook in my work. Hope they work better for you. Yours look great.

Those are supercute!  I want some for my knitting.  Where did you find those beads?

Thanks! I just got the beads at Michael's. They were $2 or $3 for a dozen.
