but i do feel sorta stupid...  i cant find the autograph.
and please, WHERE did you find this tute???

The signature is on the right-hand side of the photo, where Tallulah's hair is.  Don't feel stupid, it was kind of difficult to find for me at first too!  And I haven't checked it, but I think the tutorial is on Natalie Alabama Chanin's website.  Try Googling?

Thanks, everyone! You're all so kind! =)

To answer questions - there's more information about this specific project on my craft blog (pacificrain.blogspo t.com), plus a link to the ever-so-rad bits and bobbins blog (by tricia royale) who posted the link to Alabama Chanin in the first place.

Alabama Chanin's website is at: http://www.alabamachanin.com/
(there's a lot more on the site to look at, too - it's very inspiring!)

If you click on "Journal" in the bar at the left, and then choose "Projects," you will get to the right place.
http://www.alabamachanin.com/Journal/Projects/ProjectsBlock8.htm will take you directly to info on reverse applique and how to do it!

last but not least:

but i do feel sorta stupid...  i cant find the autograph.
Look closely at what you might mistake for a squiggly stitched (purple) line to the right of her face. The T of Tallulah is at the bottom, by the shadows of her jaw. From there you can follow it up to the H, which is near the end of the shadow by her temple. The H gets a bit screwy, cos I did do a little curly line of her hair coming down, but this should help you make it out!

This is awesome. I love Tallulah. My favorite thing of her is when she was on I love Lucy! This is so beautifully done. I absolutely love how you made the signature into part of her hair. Great job.

Very nicely done! Thanks for sharing all of the history, and your thought process and everything. It makes it a lot more interesting than just, hey, that's a cool shirt.
