Phoenix wings

I made these a while ago.  They are kids dress-up wings I made one day out of scraps.  I was thinking "bird' but they kind of evolved into flame coloured fluttery creature wings.
     

The triangle satin feathers look pretty cool when the kids run around as they flutter and move as they move their arms.  There is two loops of elastic around the shoulders, then two wrist loops to hold them on.  I also made butterfly, ladybird and erm.... purple lizard wings the same day.  Most of them ended up at pre-school in the dress-up box.

Pheonix is what I was thinking too! ..Just if I was in pre-school... It looks really amazing.

Yeah, Phoenix!  That is pretty much right.  I should change the thread title to Phoenix Wings   I bet they look quite frayed and tatty by now but they were fun to make and the kids really liked them.

awesome, my kids still talk about their dress up box when they were 5 an 6 and they are 14 and 15 now.
