Hello,

Completely new here so I hope I don't make any cock-ups posting this! I just wanted to share and say a HUGE thank you for Cheytown's button shirt to toddler dress tutorial; I've thoroughly enjoyed making it, my daughter loves it and my head is just teeming with ideas. My sewing machine loves you, Cheytown  Grin

Pics are in my blog, which I think is ok to link to? Here they are:

The crochet hat is also my first foray into hooking Cheesy and I think it's come out quite nicely too.

Thank you! She is gorgeous, isn't she Grin sorry, can't help it. Disgustingly photogenic, lol. I think the fabric really works well, it drapes so nicely. It's worth getting a man's denim shirt if anyone else wants to do similar, though - I used a ladies' one and it didn't have the extra panel across the yoke, I had to pinch some more fabric from the long sleeve. There was enough to make her a scrunchie as well, though. Smiley

Oh! Um...I didn't think it was all that difficult, really, it's from a learner's book...it's nothing but chains and htr, just increasing every round for the top, straight round for eight rounds and then increasing every other round for the brim. Oh, and crab stitch round the brim, THAT was hard, didn't like that bit at all. But the rest of it was very straightforward...I'd recommend it for a beginner's project because it comes together so quickly. Some stitch markers were definitely a good investment, though, just so you can see how many you've done before increasing again.
