These are 2 quick polymer clay sea turtle necklaces I whipped up yesterday. I made a mold from the cheap "Sea Creatures" pack that you can get from the dollar store. I don't know which I like better turtles facing up or down.

Those are super cute I would love to have one for my hemp endeavours.
I think it would look great on an angle.. maybe hanging by one flipper instead of the two..

Is the clay actually metallic in color?  I love it!  The look so REAL and heavy!  I bet they are light and very comfortable to wear!

Way to go, I like the turtle facing up, myself Wink  Why not try a turtle hanging on by just one leg?

Thanks everyone.
The clay is black with green and gold metallic highlights.
I wanted to do one leg but I was afraid of it snapping off. With Polymer clay I like having extra support.
I wish I had the patience for hemp jewelry. I have some really neat pendants I have made that would look better on a hemp necklace.

Its really easy when you get the hang of it. I can sit down in front of the tv or something and braid up a bracelet in a few hours. Theyre not really intricate or anything though just some simple square knots.

I do not know how I missed this before! and how crafty of you to use dollar store findings!  (adding it to my list now......)  So glad I didn't miss it THIS time!
Thanks so much for sharing, off to share it with some clayers that may have missed it too!  The clay board needs to see this!!!
