Sorry the pic is a little dark (and ignore the date the picture was taken at 1am this morning!!) I was trying to get a pic before the battery died!! I wanted a pic of it before I wrapped it to get it ready for the baby shower I am attending today. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Unfortunately me and sewing machines don't get a long so I had to enlist the help of my mother, THANKS MOM!!! She did a wonderful job with the backing and the edging, I hope the mommy-to-be that I made it for loves it.

The nursery theme for the new baby is hello kitty, and the parents are metal heads, so I put the two together and the idea for this blanket was born. Now, many many hours later I have a blanket that I am quite proud of, and my son is obsessed with. In the process of making this blanket he decided he loved yarn.

Hey! Look what I found in this bag!!

Every time I started to crochet I had to hand him some yarn to play with or he'd play tug of war with the yarn I was using.

***EDIT*** Just to let all of you know who have been asking for a pattern, I found a wonderful site with sanrio cross stitching graphs that I used as a guide: http://www.geocities.com/sanrioxstitch/crafts/index.html

and the cross bones came from the sweet skully sweater in the july/august issue of Crochet today. :-)
