Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll EyesCheck out my lucky drinking shoes! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Okay I have never ever ever done a project with shoes-- St Pats day is comming up and I had in my head the perfect shoe??  Well, pressed for time and still unable to find my shoes whats a crafty girl to do??  Step one buy a pair of shoes from walmart for 5 dollars-white canvas loafers.

Step 2- Paint those plain white loafers kiwi green so when you spill your green beer on them they still look okay(I used acrylic paint with textile medium added in)

Step 3- Take out your seam ripper and go to town ripping out the strange gathered part to the shoe-- and start painting away using all the shades of green paint that you have been hording away in the paint cupbard.

Step 4- Sew in some elastic to hold the cuteness to your foot so that the shoe will not fly off of your foot while drinking a green st. paddy's day beer and dancing an Irish jig. LOL  I hope everyone enjoys looking at these shoes as much as I enjoyed making them over for St. Patricks Day!  Thanks for looking!

Oooh... how easy was it to get the gathered part out? I keep wandering by those really cheap shoes and wishing they would fit but with high insteps that gathered panel is right out. I never thought of trying to literally take it out though!

It was a lot easier than I thought-  I just cut the majority of it out and used my seam ripper to get out the salvage.  Thanks for the intrest!
